Twitter and freedom of expression: after the final suspension of the Trump account, a clearer policy must be established on the regulations
Following the initial restrictions imposed on the accounts of the United States Donald Trump on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, in the wake of revolts in Capitol Hill, Twitter has now aligned on Facebook permanently suspend The Trump account.
All of these measures considerably reduce Trump’s ability to share his messages.
A real blow for him, who has repeatedly affirmed how much social media played a key role by helping him to reconfirm his mission in 2016.
Trump has always obtained a significant advantage to have a direct link, largely not filtered, with his supporters.
But now, this capacity has disappeared, or at least reduced.
Trump tried to communicate through @Potus Ufficial account To give an answer to controversial controversies, but also these tweets were quickly deleted.

To get around the limits, Trump and his team announce the desire to create his own communication platform. But it will not be an easy business.
And now what Trump does in response to these restrictions?
Damage is now caused: the former American president has been forced to admit that Joe Biden has in fact won the 2020 presidential elections. But he announced that he will not participate in his settlement ceremony.

While everyone’s eyes focus on these events, the latest restriction ads raise other questions about the rules that platforms choose to apply in relation to public security.
Here is what he says Twitter In reference to the suspension of the Trump account:
«Our main interest is to allow the public to listen directly to the words of elected officials and world leaders. However, we have already clarified several times in the years that these accounts are not free from our rules and cannot use Twitter to encourage violence.»
Many Trump criticisms welcomed Twitter for the Trump account to have definitively «finally» canceled.
The fact is that without clear and definitive directives on what the social network considers acceptable or not, the problem could return to repeat itself in the future.
Perhaps, by renovating once and for all their own policies, the platforms could demonstrate the desire to clearly describe their directives, instead of being forced with unwanted limits or changes.
While Twitter and Facebook will hinder the positive breeze they have forbidden Trump, policies concerning these actions are not clear. And they must be. If the rules have changed and the platforms take a more difficult position against those who cause civil disorders, this should be clarified once and for all.
What are the rules to establish to prevent these mistakes from repeating themselves in the future?
The way to follow is not clear, but definitive clarity is really necessary.
And what do you think?
