Facebook 2020: What will happen?
It is still this time of year.
While all children intend to write their Christmas letters, in the adult world, we are starting to think about the predictions and changes that the new year will bring with it.
The main social media experts are starting to produce 2020 predictions for Facebook, Twitter and Co.
Yes, this is the season of forecasts. Some of them will come true, others will never be manufactured.
Today, however, I want to focus only on Facebook. Based on what happened in 2019, here are some of the developments you can expect in 2020 of the Zuc Giant.
What happened in 2019
Facebook has just crossed the most tumultuous 12 months of the short story of the business.
While we are heading for the next electoral cycle to elect the new President of the United States, Cambridge’s analytical scandal is still in the air.
In this stormy climate, the company has also negotiated the conditions relating to the payments of its cryptocurrency, trying to convince the impression on the security of the user data acquisition process.
There is always a lot to do at Facebook headquarters: this is where I expect to see Zuck and Co. in 2020.
Question of payments. What happened to Balance?

Facebook is still working on building a regulatory framework for its cryptocurrency book, but the situation does not seem promising as at dawn.
In fact, almost all the main supporters of the cryptocurrency who had to upset the network, far from the project.
Facebook has repeatedly insisted that the project will continue to continue, but the signals do not suggest, at least in this phase, that it will become the revolutionary payment option that the social network had initially planned.
The question of payments, however, remains one of the key objectives of Facebook: the objective is to facilitate internal transactions to the platform and purchases in the stamme.
Balance would allow Facebook to create an internal ecosystem for financial transactions, without traditional and similar banking commissions. Regardless, Facebook is still working to facilitate the process in its networks via WhatsApp Pay and Facebook Pay.
Let’s wait for important news in this context. News that is particularly important for electronic commerce.
A push to Facebook Watch
Facebook Watch, the on -demand video service offered by Facebook, did not take off as they hoped.
Of course, Watch has had several successes: some original Facebook watch content has millions of spectators and the social itself indicates that currently 720 million people per month and 140 million people per day, at least one minute of expenses to consume watch content.
They seem acceptable figures, but again, compared to 1.6 billion active users, 140 million people are only a minimum part.
But, moreover, with Netflix, Disney, Amazon and other giants who gain land (not to mention Youtube) Facebook could not make real noise on the market. Or at least, not yet.
So let’s wait for in 2020 Facebook to give another important push to the watch platform, partly fueled by the growing popularity of video content on its platforms.
These are just a few forecasts for the new year that will come. One thing is certain: this 2020 will be a year full of surprises.
