Facebook and the new advertising management interface: what awaits you?
In February 2019, the news that Facebook was updated by updating its business manager interface began to circulate on the web. In April, the company in fact confirmed the update, declaring that the new version was already available to be available for certain advertisers.
We are unable to know what the actual number of people are now access to the updated platform, but it seems that last month, there has been a broader distribution of this update, which has now become available for a large number of marketing specialists.
What changes in Facebook advertising management?
As announced in April, the advertising management interface was redesigned to incorporate five new functions, including a new navigation experience, a research function and an integrated filter and a dynamic action bar.

New experience in advertising management
- The Campaign tab, a group of advertisements and insertions, which in the current version of advertisements are positioned horizontally, will be moved to the left of the table in a side navigation bar.
- The new navigation in advertising management allows you to see campaigns, advertising groups and advertisements in a single table that provides a clear context, without having to switch from the tab to another.
- The new flanked visualization allows you to interact simultaneously with the main draw and to visualize or modify the graphics. This view replaces the side modification component and the expandable ratio.
Additional functions of the new advertising management
- A search bar and a combined filter allows you to use search terms or select filters to find advertisements, advertising groups or campaigns.
- The actions bar, in which the creation button is located, now shows only the actions used more frequently and masks additional actions in a Drop -Down menu.
How to deactivate the new design
Doesn’t the new layout happen to you? You can always deactivate it. For the moment.
- Select Go to the previous version In the upper left corner to temporarily return to the old design. Note: The possibility of deactivating the new design of advertising management will only be available for a limited period. To return to the new experience, select Try the new version of advertiser management.
Some observations
The new ADS Manager interface is easier to navigate and has a cleaner appearance than the previous version.
The graphic arrangement has been simplified, allowing faster development and execution. Many excess parts and buttons have been deleted.
The new platform also seems to be much faster (finally!).
Another interesting update of the interface occurred at the campaign level: with this change, in fact, the structure of the campaign is nested.
What does that mean, especially? That – from now on – it is possible to easily visualize ad sets in a countryside without necessarily having to modify the display screen.
The report systems are also improving, which now provides information through comparative rankings. The previous system, however, was digital.
A criticism
With the new version, the alternating colors of the different lines (corresponding to the different campaigns) and the combinations of blue-gray colors of the old version have been deleted.
Now the interface becomes all white, risking even obtaining the most attentive advertisers a little confused.
Another work to do
Definitely the New interface of the ad managerial It is an excellent start, even if the road to a perfectly usable and fast platform is still long.
An example? It would be great to be able to modify two dynamic announcements at the same time. Currently, this can be done with regular announcements, but not with dynamic creativity.
In addition, another useful implementation may be to introduce more filter options to help remove disorders.
The reality of the facts is that there are many other improvements to be made that go far beyond the simple graphical interface.
But, probably, you just have to have a little more patience: the surprises in the Facebook house are always upon us.
